Would You Rather...? | Beauty TAG
I've never actually done a tag on my blog so I thought I would do one today because I think they're really fun and it's a good way to find things out about a person. I'm going to do the Would You Rather tag (beauty edition) because I am the worst at making decisions so I thought I'd challenge myself. I tag everyone reading this, let me know if you do this tag yourself.
1.) Would you rather lose all of your mascaras, eyeliners, lipsticks, and lipglosses or lose all of your palettes and eyeshadows?
I only have a couple of palettes and the only one I use is my Naked 3 but I only use that every so often. I don't wear eyeshadow that much; I tend to stick to eyeliner only. Mascara really pulls a look together and eyeliner is my one staple piece of makeup. I feel so much better about myself when I've got a simple black line on my eyelid. Weird, right? So I'd much prefer to lose all of my eyeshadows.
2.) Would you rather chop off all your hair or never be able to cut it again?
I wouldn't cut my hair! Obviously if it was for a good cause (for example, if people sponsered me and the money went to charity or it was used to create wigs etc for cancer patients) then I would cut all my hair off but if it was just a casual trip to the hairdressers, I would never get rid of my hair. My hair is literally my baby. I even hate just having a trim!
3.) Would you rather have a coral cheek or a pink cheek?
Probably a pink cheek because I think pink blusher compliments my skin tone better. However, I'm not a huge blush person anyway so if I do wear it, it's very subtle so it wouldn't even matter.
4.) If you had £1000 to spend, would you rather buy clothes or makeup?
CLOTHES! I went through a stage of only buying makeup and I was wearing the same outfits over and over again but once I got into the swing of shopping for clothes, I barely ever bought a makeup product again. It's nice to treat yourself with new makeup but I've taught myself to only buy it when I need it. Now I find myself scrolling through H&M, New Look and Topshop's websites for hours.
5.) Would you rather apply lipstick as eyeliner, or eyeliner as lipstick?
This is a really hard one because, even though I don't really wear lipstick, I was trying to think which one would be easier to apply. If you had to use a typical lipstick bullet as eyeliner, it would be so hard to control whereas eyeliner as lipstick could possibly work if you used a nude colour. So I think I'd rather use eyeliner as lipstick.
6.) Would you rather only shop at MAC or Sephora?
We don't have Sephora in the UK so I'd rather shop in Mac because I've never shopped in Sephora so I wouldn't really feel like I'm missing out on anything.
7.) Would you rather only use one eyeshadow color or one lip colour for the rest of your life?
One lip colour for definite! Lipstick doesn't really suit me and I always use the same generic pink colour if I ever do put anything on my lips. Eyeshadow wouldn't look very nice if you could only use one colour because it would look pretty boring and it's nice to blend colours together.
8.) Would you rather wear winter clothes in summer or summer clothes in winter?
Winter clothes in summer because I practically do that anyway... I wear jumpers all year round but I opt for thinner ones in the summer so I can keep cool. If you wore summer clothes in winter, surely you'd freeze?!
9.) Would you rather have dark nails or bright nails all year round?
Bright nails, dark nails do look nice in the winter, but bright colours make a statement and they can really brighten up a dark outfit.
10.) Would you rather give up your favourite lip product or your favourite eye product?
Probably my favourite lip product because, like I said before, I don't really use many lip products and I always focus on my eyes when I do my makeup because they are my favourite feature.
11.) Would you rather only be able to wear your hair in a ponytail or a messy bun?
A ponytail because I can never get my messy bun to go right! Also, my hair is pretty long and thick so if I ever do wear my hair up in a bun (when I'm at home) it always falls out and my bun goes into a strange wrapped up half-ponytail and it gets super annoying whereas with a ponytail you don't have to mess with it as much.
12.) Would your rather never be able to paint your nails again or never use lipgloss?
I don't paint my nails anyway because I bite them (a disgusting habit, I know, I'm trying to get better!) so they're always too short so when I paint them they look ridiculous! The only time I ever have nail varnish on is if I'm wearing acrylic nails or when my nails are at a decent length - when my nails are painted I don't bite them as much. I like to wear lipgloss instead of lipstick because it's easier to maintain.
13.) Would you rather shave your eyebrows and have none at all or sharpie them in everyday?
This is literally the hardest question from this tag. Good brow game makes everything look better but if you shaved them off, would you still be able to draw them on with a regular eyebrow pencil? Wriggling out of the question like a boss.
Also, eyebrows grow back! Eyebrows drawn in with sharpie would look ridiculous and imagine how long it would take to come off.
14.) Would you rather live without makeup or nail polish?
Without nail polish for sure! I mentioned this earlier but I don't wear nail varnish so it wouldn't be a big deal but I love makeup. It makes me feel ten times more confident and it's so fun to experiment with different eyeshadows and colours.
I hope you enjoyed this little tag. My next post for my Revision & Study Tips series will go up tomorrow. I tag everyone reading this, like I said before! Hope you're having a good day and I'll speak to you soon. x

Stationery! | Revision & Study Tips
Stationery is my one true love...literally. Shopping for new pens and pencils and highlighters excites me way more than it should. I never used to care about it and would turn up to school with a pen that barely worked that I found in my blazer pocket but this year I've realised that it helps with revision so much to have a wide variety of stationery around you.
I bought this small set of flashcards from Wilko - there are 120 sheets and it is on a key ring which is super handy so you can keep them all together and not worry about losing any. If you take a language like I do, these are perfect for writing vocab on (preferably with colourful pens!) so it's easier to memorise certain words or phrases. They are also good for subjects like Science, if you need to remember what a certain cell part does etc.
Again, with the colourful theme, I sometimes like to use coloured pencils instead of highlighters. For example, in this photograph, I used my Lyra pencils to colour in my revision timetable so the things I needed to do stood out more. Another thing you could do is write subjects you want to revise on post-it notes and stick it on the days so the week after you can switch up what you're going to do when - this will keep things more interesting and you could also fit in different subjects that you didn't do the previous week.
I buy most of my stationery from either Wilko or Tesco because both shops do such a great range for reasonable prices. You don't realise how much using things like post-its or flashcards actually help when it comes to revision until you try it. I like to stick revision notes on my wall so I can see them every day in the hopes they will get stuck in my brain!

How to Survive on Minecraft | Theo's Gaming Corner
*This is my brother, Theo, who is going to turn ten years old on Monday. He has a passion for video games and he wants to, one day, start his own gaming blog or Youtube channel. Therefore, I thought that he could do a post on my blog every so often - to split my posts up and to let him have a go himself. Hope you enjoy (please be nice!)*
I've been playing Minecraft for almost a year. I originally played it on my laptop but now I only play it on my PS3 because my friend plays it on his PlayStation so we go online together.
Minecraft is a game where you can play in Creative mode or Survival mode. I prefer playing in Survival mode because it's more intense and you have to work for things! In this blog post, I'll be giving you some tips on how to survive on Minecraft, in Survival mode.
1. First thing you've got to do is look at your surroundings and see what situation you are in. For example, if you are on an island in the middle of the sea then you can't really survive for long because there's limited resources of wood and other building supplies.
2. If you are in a good situation, try and find the nearest supply of wood - like a tree - so you can prepare yourself for the first night, which is always the hardest!
3. Once you've got a good amount of wood, you can go into your crafting menu (square on a PS3 controller) and use four wood logs to make wooden planks. You do so because it is the easiest and simplest way of making a shelter.
4. Once you've made lots of wooden planks, you can begin to build a shelter. If you press L2 on the controller you place down a wooden plank and you can keep doing this until you get a big square that has five planks on each side. Afterwards you can build your roof. You need a shelter so, when it turns to nighttime, you don't get killed by mobs or creepers.
5. Another thing you have to do to ensure you survive is to find the nearest food supply (like a pig, cow or chicken) and kill them with a sword. Then you can cook them in a furnace with coal. Once you eat, your hunger goes straight up which means you can start your adrenalin-filled adventure.
I hope these tips help you and if you'd like another blog post to do with gaming, let me know. Hope you enjoyed.
Adios amigo!

Getting Started! | Revision & Study Tips
Hello everyone and welcome to my new blog series! I am in my last year of secondary school (year 11) and I sit my GCSE exams next year. However, I have lots of mock exams leading up to the real ones and I've decided this year that I really need to get my head down and start revising. Everyone has been looking at me like I'm mad, because our exams aren't until next year. Despite that, I'd rather get into the swing of things now than go back to school after Christmas and think, "Oh crap, I've only got a few months left!"
Therefore, I have put together this series to show you guys how I organise my revision sessions and the kind of things I do and use that help me. The things I do may not be for everyone but if you wanted to try out a new technique then give these blog posts a read.
At the end of every blog post, I will leave links to the other posts in this series so you can click on specific ones that you think will help you.
Also, I'm super ill (with tonsillitis) so I've been spending the past couple of days at home. Instead of staying in bed and watching Friends all day, I decided to be a little more productive by doing some revision whilst taking some photographs. Kill two birds with one stone, huh?
Tip One: Getting Started!
The first thing I like to do before I start revising is get changed out of my pyjamas and put leggings and a hoodie on. If I stay in my pyjamas, it makes me feel like I should be back in bed. I also pair this comfortable outfit with fluffy socks - who doesn't like to keep their feet warm? I normally wear this Simpsons Duff Beer hoodie, which I bought in America last year, and my H&M leggings as they are so comfy. I always make sure I wash my face and brush my teeth so I feel refreshed because if I feel really groggy and half-asleep I find it really difficult to concentrate. Another thing I do is put my hair up in a bun or ponytail as it is quite long and it gets really irritating when I'm trying to work.
I always make sure I turn my phone off otherwise it becomes a huge distraction and I end up scrolling through Instagram (@georgiameghann - shameless plug!) or Facebook ten minutes after I open my books. I don't tend to listen to music while I revise - unless I am doing work in my sketchbook - because I find that I don't concentrate as much as I do without music. If you do like to listen to music, instead of turning your phone off, I would turn it on silent and make sure I have my settings set so that my phone doesn't vibrate. I always turn the television on though, so there is a bit of background noise.
Before I start revising, I like to refer to my calendar - who else always get a little calendar book every Christmas off random family members?! I never used to use them and they would end up in the back of a drawer but this school year I've decided to use the one I was gifted last year (I mainly decided to use it because it has small pictures of extremely cute kittens on every page) to plan out my days. I don't plan out my days as such as going into
detail about what I'm going to do at what time;
instead, I write a couple of bullet points on each
day so I can remind myself what homework or revision I should be doing. I usually limit it to two subjects each day otherwise I think my brain would explode! I also planned out a revision timetable so I can include the things I do at school (like at lunch or after school sessions I should go to) as well as revision I can do at home. I colour-code each subject so its easier to
see. For example, I go to maths intervention every morning instead of tutor and I also go afterschool on a Wednesday, so these are coloured a dark pink. I stick this up on my bedroom wall so I don't forget the clubs I should be going to.
There's no point in doing hours of revision and not having a break because studies show the average person can only concentrate for about 45 minutes (look at me with my statistics!) so I like to work in 20-30 minute blocks and then I take a ten minute break. Usually, I will take my laptop and watch some Youtube videos (I was actually watching sunbeamsjess' Topshop Autumn/Winter Haul - I've been obsessing over her videos recently; they're so entertaining) or I will flick through Glamour magazine and get some inspiration for future blog posts or outfit ideas.
I always end up back on my phone and I like to scroll through Twitter (another shameless plug) and see what everyone is up to and I also reply to any messages. If you were wondering, I have the iPhone 5C - if anyone would like me to do a What's On My iPhone blog post, I'll be happy to do that, just leave a comment below.
Also, if you notice, I am so boring when it comes to using emoji's - I use the faces and the hearts and that's about it! I really need to branch out and use a wider variety...
I like to stay hydrated whilst I'm revising otherwise it can be quite hard to concentrate. I either drink water or orange juice: I am a huge fizzy drink addict but I try to only drink water when I'm working because it's very refreshing. When I take a break, I tend to snack a lot so instead of eating unhealthy food, like crisps, I try and eat more fruit. It must be good for my brain too? I drink everything through a straw (water, juice, tea etc) because it feels like I am drinking more and, seeing as I'm someone who can go all day without having a drink, it makes me feel so much better about myself when I am properly hydrated. Is that weird?
Anyway, I hope you all enjoyed this first blog post! Please leave me a comment sharing your opinion as I'm really not sure if people will like this series.

Pinch, Punch, First Day of the Month!
October is my favourite month - (not only because my birthday is on the twenty-first!).
I feel like September is the month where it's just starting to get cooler after the summer and I'm always too busy to really enjoy the month anyway, what with going back to school and spending all of my time concentrating on working. However, everything feels so much more autumnal once October comes around. The leaves on the trees turn into gorgeous golden colours and the mornings start to become frostier, which I love as the air always feels so fresh. As the days get shorter, I get more and more excited because it reminds me that I can spend more time in the house without looking like I'm an unsociable person. I also love how I can finally start shopping for my autumn/winter wardrobe, as jumpers are a staple piece for me and now I have an excuse to buy more!
October is also the month for Halloween... Cue the scary movies! Nothing is better than cuddling up in bed with a hot drink watching films that make you jump. I love watching Youtube videos based around Halloween and the wonderfully talented people out there that come up with amazing Halloween makeup. I'd love to give it a shot so if you'd like "Halloween Makeup Tutorials" or makeup looks in general then let me know!
I can't wait to see what October brings in store for me (I really hope it brings me a completed sketchbook so I no longer have to sit up until stupid hours trying to get Art coursework done!)
What's your favourite thing about October? Or Autumn in general!

I Have An Excuse!
Long time no see!
My last blog post was back in December of last year! No one understands how much I have wanted to blog. However, around the end of December, my laptop completely broke. The screen was smashed and the software didn't work. I gave it to my uncle and he wasn't able to fix it.
Hopefully, I am going to get a new laptop for my birthday which is next month! This means that I will be able to blog more regularly, which I am super excited to do.
I am uploading this via my brother's laptop but I wasn't able to use this to blog before because his also broke. What can I say, we aren't very good with technology!
Anyway, I am really sorry for not posting in almost a year; I will definitely make it up to you guys by posting as much as I can next month and onwards.
I'd really appreciate it if you could leave me some ideas in the comments of blog posts you'd like to see (like my favourite products of the month, Autumn fashion ideas, specific makeup products I am loving or even just a general life update).
I hope everyone is well and keep your eyes peeled for my next blog post!

Apologies!
I know what you're thinking.
Georgia, where have you been?!
If you read my previous post (now deleted), I told you how my laptop has broken. Apart from having a smashed screen, the software has stopped working: a graphic virus, apparently. My uncle is a computer whiz and is getting a new screen ordered for me and he will be able to get rid of the virus and get my computer back to normal! He works 25/8 pretty much and I don't see him too often but when I do see him, everything will work again and I will be able to blog!
Exciting news flash, duh duh. I got the Naked 3 palette for Christmas! Therefore, you guessed it, I'll be bringing out a blog post reviewing the beautiful product and giving you swatches, if you haven't seen any already. It's like my new baby, I'm so excited to try it out!
In other news, I was thinking of filming a "What I Got For Christmas" video and uploading it to my YouTube channel, as my very first video. I don't have a big enough memory card yet so when I buy one I was hoping to film a few videos as I've wanted to for a very long time. I don't know if that would be of interest to anyone though so let me know in the comments!
I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and got some wonderful gifts! I'm so grateful for everything I received and I feel truly blessed to be surrounded by amazing family and friends. If you don't celebrate Christmas, I hope you had a good day.
Keep your eyes peeled for my upcoming blog posts (when my laptop is fixed). So excited!
Lots of love. x
